Curiosity killed the cat !
I don't know where that saying came from, I was curious to find out the meaning of this quote, but after many years of living this life, I finally realized how crazy this thought actually is. If it wasn't for curiosity,Colombus wouldn't have discovered America and Eve wouldn't have bitten the apple, and where would we all be then?
If curiosity should kill someone, it should always be those idiots in the movies that go into a dark room in a haunted house and they hear "voices" suggesting that they vacate the premises immediately, but through the stupidity of curiosity, they blindly wander in to feed their curiosity. Bam ! Dead, just like that curious cat.
However, in most other instances, curiosity should be treated as a virtue. Curiosity takes you to new travels and find new adventures, it cures maladies, it helps people test and surpass their physical and mental limits, and after all is said and done, it answers all, or at least, most of your questions. So next time you hear someone saying "Curiosity killed the cat" tell them, "You know, I'm just a bit curious, why do you say that?" If anything, curiosity helped him get away from the everyday ritual of a pat in the head, eating, playing a bit, eating and sleeping day after day. Who wants that? If that's what life is all about, well, I'd rather be curious and die happy!
